A COUNTRY CHARM.
Imagine setting a date for your Wedding and 2 months before the world basically stops. Not what any Bride or Groom wants, right? Matthew and Leslie Donovan defied the odds and made their special day happen, more than once! From a beautiful wedding in North Carolina to a charming and romantic celebration tucked away in the mountains at Irvine Estates in Lexington, Virginia, the Donovan's did not let anything stand in the way of their love for each other.
The celebration was beautifully designed with a charming Christmas aesthetic with the beautiful mountains of Lexington, Virginia surrounding the venue. They included beautiful centerpieces full of red and white roses, floating candles, pine and cranberry garlands, and the cutest Christmas tree name holders. Matthew and Leslie not only displayed their affectionate love towards each other throughout the night, but also ensured their guests were taken care of with the fireplace blazing and the table top fireplaces to snuggle up by and even some cozy favors such as fleece blankets and hot hands!
When you walked inside to the Estate to the Christmas wonderland, the hospitality from the Donovan's continued. There was a beautifully Hot Cocoa Bar, a tasty sweet tooth bar, even some treats for your pup at home! To no surprise, the spirit of giving continued. The Donovan's informed their guests that they would be making a donation to Toys for Tots and asked their guests to bring a donation in place of a gift for the couple. By the end of the night, the Christmas tree was overflowing with gifts. It was absolutely heart-warming and magical.
MEET THE DONOVAN'S.
Matthew and Leslie are such a charming couple. They were so welcoming to their guests and their love absolutely radiated throughout the night. The minute Leslie walked out of the Estate in her evening attire and her husband excitedly, loudly and proudly yelled, "ohhhh hunnnny!" I knew these two were perfect for each other. To know Matthew and Leslie is a blessing, but to witness their love for each other is simply magical.
They were accompanied by their closest friends and siblings to form a stunning bridal party. The shades of red and pink bridesmaids' dresses with a beautiful shawl wrap complimented the groomsmen's blue sharp formal tuxes.
Dance, Eat, and Be Merry!
The night concluded with another First Dance of the Donovan's, Leslie and her Father, and Matthew and his mother. Leslie's father gave a wonderful speech which included a variety of reactions from the guests ranging from special "awe" moments to moments filled with laughter. After the Welcome Speech and dances, the guests ventured inside for some fun introductions of the bridal party and a very flavorsome dinner was served buffet style by Irvine Estates. The Donovan's and their guests created many memories as they danced away into the night air.
